Wilbur Cleland MOLISON

Wilbur was graduated from the Malcom, Iowa high school and Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa. When they married, he was the Farm Bureau agent in Washington County, Iowa. He served there for four years and then returned to Poweshiek County and began farming.
In a 1950 newspaper article entitled "Wilbur Molison is Sen. Candidate", he is listed as having held township, county and state offices of the Farm Bureau. For three years he was president of the 4-H fair. At the time of the article, he was a member of the County Board of Education. He was also active in the Grinnell Congregational Church, being a member of the board of trustees. He was also a mason.
He served two terms in the Iowa Senate and had been a member of the State Board of Regents. He had been past president of the Grinnell-Newburg school board and had held county and state offices in the Iowa Farm Bureau. He was a member of the boards of directors of the Grinnell State Bank, Midwest General Telephone Company, Iowa State Memorial Union and the Iowa State Alumni Association.
