1860 Newton County, Mississippi census, Dwelling/Family #857/866: Joseph J. WILLIAMSON, 44, m, $3300, $1472, SC; Mary WILLIAMSON, 39, Miss; Martha WILLIAMSON, 18, Miss; Mary WILLIAMSON, 16, Miss; George WILLIAMSON, 13, Miss; Sarah WILLIAMSON, 11, Miss; Tempy WILLIAMSON, 8, Miss.

(NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: I had previously placed Joseph J. or J. J. Williamson as a brother of John Calvin Williamson, as he married one of the Blakely sisters, who married two of the brothers (David C. and John Thomas) of John Calvin's wife, Jerucia Williamson Williamson. The Williamsons and Blakelys all came from Newton County, Mississippi to Freestone County, Texas and other parts of east Texas. From the Jesse K. Williamson Bible record Joseph Johnson Williams was born 17 Aug 1816. This is also the birth date on the tombstone of J. J. Williamson, who is buried at Cotton Gin Cemetery in Freestone County, Texas. Many of Shadrack Williamson's descendants are buried in Freestone County, Texas, mostly at Salem Cemetery. I am also listing another Joseph Williamson of about the same age as Joseph Johnson William, who apparently died in Newton County, Mississippi. At this time, I do not know who his parents were.)
