They are listed on the 1820 Census of Walton County, Georgia; and in 1830 in Carroll County, Georgia; in 1840 in Heard County, Georgia and in 1850 in Walker County, Georgia and in 1860 in Catoosa County, Georgia. They had eight children. The known ones are: George W. Gentry, James Gentry, born ca 1818; married Martha _____?, Elisha Gentry, born ca 1818, married Martha _____?, William T. (or F.) Gentry, born ca 1820, Martin P. Gentry, born ca 1829, Alfred R. Gentry, born ca 1825; married Jane _____?, Dorcas A. Gentry." (The Gentry Journal, March 2002.)
