"... The 1880 census shows (with J. A. and Thurssay) and daughter named Thurssay, age 29, and is classified as an "Idiot." Aunt Met says she remembers her grandparents and the retarded child living with her parents (Gabe) and that they called the retarded child "Sally" and that Sally could wash dishes and clean the house but had trouble with her speech." (From a letter to Bea and Donald (Williamson) from Charles and Frances Williamson, undated, but probably in the 1960's.)
