"David Albert Judah was born David Judah with no middle name to his knowledge. He later added the initial "A". When asked one day what that represented, he came up with "Albert"; hence his middle name." (David H. Judah, his son.)
"David Albert Judah, son of Rodolphus Judah, was raised by his uncle, Morris Judah, MD after the death of his father and the abandonment by his mother. David attended Butcher School and Bloomington High School. He worked as a planerman for the B. G. Hoadley Stone Mill at Stinesville, IN. Later, he worked for the Indiana Limestone Company. He moved to Kansas City, MO to work for the Indiana Limestone Company. David and his first wife, Orpha Octave Easton, divorced about 1921... David Sr. Moved back to Ellettsville, Indiana in 1947 and worked at the Indian Hill Stone Company. He retired in 1957. The following year, he was elected Justice of the Peace of Richland Township. He was a member of the Ellettsville Christian Church where he was a deacon for ten years. David was a Director of the Ellettsville Lions Club. His second wife, Helen, presently lives in Ellettsville, Indiana as of 4/99." (Monroe County Indiana Family Heritage 1987, published by Monroe County Historical Society.)
