"Mrs. Chloe Elma Toney, 71, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday at her home, 1022 1/2 Hart street. She had been Ill for several months. Survivors include two sons, Frank O. Juah (sic) of Vincennes and Richard A. Toney with whom she made her home, a daughter, Vivian O. Farries (sic) of East Chicago, Ind., two stepsons, Fred and John Toney, both of Freelandville, 16 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. The body is at the Stocker funeral home where funeral services will be held Wednesday. The exact hour of the funeral has not yet been established, pending word from distant relatives. The Rev. Ray H. Montgomery will officiate and burial will be in the Indian Prairie cemetery east of Carlisle." (Newspaper clipping, paper and date unknown.)
