"GEORGE GREER passes away this morning at his home north east of the city - interment North Church Cemetery. George Greer died this morning at his home in the Campbell community, five miles north east from Nacogdoches. Mr. Greer had been sick for some time. He was about 30 years of age and leaves a wife, sister, Mrs. Nat Sisco, and 3 children. He also leaves a mother, Mrs. Bettie Greer, and 5 brothers, one of whom is James D. Greer. Announcement is made that interment will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock at the North Church cemetery." ("The Daily Sentinel, Nacogdoches, TX, Thursday, March 4, 1909.)
