FAG 68187104
Information on William Watts comes from Family records of Robert Harrison Watts and letters from William Wiseman Watts. It was stated the family moved from Jamestown, Albemarle County, Virginia before William was born.
1820 Smith County, Tennessee census: William WATTS, 1 male under 10 years (born between 1810 and 1820 - this would be Seneca, born in 1812); one male 10 to 16 years (born between 1804 and 1810 - this would be Wesley, born in 1804); no males between 16 to 18 years; one male 18 to 26 years (born between 1794 and 1802 - this child must have died early, or not mentioned in any histories); one male 26 to 45 (born between 1775 and 1794 - this would be William, born in 1783); no males over 45 years; three females under 10 (born 1810 to 1820 - these would be Gabrilla born 1814, Arzilla born 1816, and Virdilla born 1820); one female 16 to 26 (born between 1794 and 1801 - this would this Eliza, born in 1801); one female 26 to 45 (born between 1775 and 1794 - this would be Nancy, born in 1784); and no females 45 years and up.
11 September 1845 - William Watts was named administrator of his mother's estate.
1850 Lincoln County, Missouri census.
(NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: William Watts' will was made November 1850 and probated 12 May 1851. Brice W. Hammack, Hiram Wommack, and Norris H. Goodman signed the will as witnesses. William Watts is listed as grandson and executor. There are two children thought to be children of William that are not shown in the will. One is Eliza Luckett, as she is shown as Eliza Watts in the pension papers of F. M. Luckett, her husband. We do not know why she was not listed in William's will. The other child is Wesley Watts, who died before William. They seem to be represented in the 1820 census, with at least one other child, who Lori Linnell shows as Mary A. Watts, born in 1818.)
