"Mrs. Victor W. (Cecilia) Gillett, 61, died yesterday morning in an El Paso hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Abilene and had been a Corpus Christi resident for 15 years before moving to El Paso last September. Her husband, died in December 1954. He was the manager of the Stewart Title Co. She is survived by two sons, Victor W. Gillett Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, and Stewart M. Gillett of Houston; a brother, W. O. Kemper of Abilene; four sisters, Mrs. A. J. Hoover, Sr., Mrs. W. H. Hand, and Mrs. Charles Langfored all of Abilene and Mrs. S. G. Gonzalez of El Paso. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a. m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, with the Rev. E. J. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park, with Clifford-Jackson Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be W. C. Kennedy, Robert Haeglin, Curtis Mason, Neel Fulghum, Gilbert Vetters Sr. and Hulen Hunt." (Obituary of Mrs. Victor W. Gillett, from a Corpus Christi newspaper.)
