Individual Details
Roy Franklin Greear
(March 2, 1910 - March 10, 1954)
"Roy Franklin Greear worked in Dayton, Ohio for a paper company. He was a gambler. He was shot in 1935 during a card game and died. The two boys that shot him got life sentences. Pepa went and got him and brought him home." (From taped interview with Nathan Ellington Greear, Sr. by Mary South.)
Death information from Social Security Death Benefit Records. (NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: I don't understand, if he died after being shot in 1935, why does Mary give a death date in 1954. Is this a typographical error?)
