"Frank Andrew Sigmon was killed in an auto accident. An interesting story has been told in reference to Frank's death. The day before word reached Frank's grandparents of his death, his grandfather, William Daniel Garland Jones, saw a black hearse come down Martins Branch Road and pull in the Jones driveway, cross the bridge, and stop at the grapevine arbor that covered the side entrance. He immediately went out to see what was happening but as he stepped off the back porch and glanced toward the vehicle, there was nothing there. Only a few days later, an identical hearse which stopped at the same spot brought his first grandchild to be buried in the family cemetery on the hill behind the house."
