"Ebenezer Greer is listed as Ebenezer Torrence Greer in a query found in the Georgia Genealogy Magazine by Mrs. Nathan Smith (a great granddaughter of Ebenezer, now deceased, lived in Ozark, Arkansas). An Ebeneezer Torrence was J. P. of Greene County about 1810 and Sheriff also. William Greer was his deputy. He ran a lead mine during the Civil War."
