"Mary was born 1809 in Pendleton District, SC.. She accompanied her parents to Hall County, GA., where she was listed as under 10 years of age in 1820. She was recorded with her father in the home of brother, Moses in 1830. She married Hiram Patterson 26 August 1830 in Hall County, Ga. He was born in 1801 in SC. and was a brother to Elizabeth who married her brother, James in 1850, Hiram and Elizabeth were recorded in Sub-Div. #33, Gilmer County, GA.. He was a farmer.
