"Josephine was born 1825 in Hall County, Georgia. She was recorded at home in 1830 and 1840. She married B. W. Hymer ca 1845. He was born 1824 in North Carolina. In 1850, they were recorded near her parents in Sanford's District, Lumpkin County and they were parents of two children. Mr Hymer was a teacher and had real estate valued at $300.00. They were not located in 1860. When Josephine was born, Gordon County, Georgia was called Hall County. Many counties were formed from Hall. Her Grandfather was in Hall County in 1820 and 1830, as was her father in 1830. The 1850 Lumpkin County, Georgia census is a little hard to real, but what looks like the name of B.W. Hymer is really B.M. Hymer. His name was Basil Manuel Hymer and he was a tracker, not a teacher. A tracker back then was a surveyor of property. The daughter, Adaline has not been located, so we have not been able to locate her family."
