"Funeral services for a former Coleman resident, Mary Ferguson McFaul, age 87, of Irving, were held here Sunday, January 25, at 3 p.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Delbert Seratt officiating. Burial was in the Santa Anna Cemetery under direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Mrs. McFaul died in an Irving hospital on Friday, January 23, 1981, at 2 p.m. Born September 23, 1893 in Arkansas, she was the daughter of John and Martha Jane Hammond Langley. She came to Coleman County in 1930 and was married on June 12 of that year to James C. Ferguson in Coleman. He died in 1967. She was when married in March 1971 to Guy McFaul, who died in 1978. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are seven daughters, Bovie Hambrick of Lubbock, Helen Parker of Anson, Mineola Serratt of Lovington, New Mexico, Dorothy Avant of Brownwood, Maxine Shelton of Blanket, Carolyn Matthews of Irving and Louzell Serratt of Sudan; two sons, James Brown of Brownwood and Leroy Ferguson of Lubbock; one sister, Sophie Abbott of Arkansas; 45 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ronnie Matthews, Randy Matthews, Morris Parker, Melvin Serratt, Charles Demsey and Bobby Squyres." (Obituary from THE COLEMAN DEMOCRAT - VOICE, January 27, 1981)

NOTE from Ralph Terry: My mother also showed a son, Charlie Brown, died before 1981. I have found no record of this child.
