"Eli Terry moved to Autauga County, Alabama in 1818, with his brother-in-law, Tod Robinson, and his cousin, William Raiford Pickett. Eli Terry owned a grist mill above old Roberdel and was clerk of Richmond County Court in 1804-05." ("Rockingham Post-Dispatch," Richmond County, North Carolina, 30 November 1949.)
"Sarah Pickett and Eli Terry of Autauga County, Alabama concerning property of James Pickett, deceased. Negroes to following - Romeo and Jude to Eli Terry; Jun, Frank, and Edey to William Terry, son of said Eli Terry; Harry to Ann Terry; and Lem to Todd Terry; reserving possession and the use of same to himself and his wife, Polly Terry - 20 January 1824."
