Aubrey ‘Sonny’ Serratt, 68, of Salem died Sunday of lung cancer. Born in Santa Anna, Texas, he served in the Army in Germany shortly after World War II. He worked in the building products industry in Kentucky and Oregon. Survivors include his wife, Hildegard, whom he married in 1953; daughters, Mary Ann Dever of Rochester, N.Y., Kimberly Hendricks of Woodburn, and Elize Maxwell of Salem; mother, Louzell of Sudan, Texas; brothers, Delbert of Beeville, Texas, Kenneth of Amarillo, Texas, and Melvin of Hico, Texas; and six grandchildren. Services were Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Restlawn Funeral Home.
