Individual Details

Daniel A. Hanson

(September 18, 1861 - December 4, 1917)

The 1870 Comanche County census for John and Martha Hanson shows what appears to be David Hanson, age 18, but on closer inspection it reads Daniel and should be age 8, considering the order of births and ages. There is no David Hanson in this family.

"D. A. Hanson, Brand HI on left hip. Ear Mark. Brand on record in Comanche County, Texas. Recorded in Eastland County, Texas in 1887." (Eastland County, Texas Brand records, Book N, page 502.)

D. A. Hanson lived at Rising Star, Texas.

(NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: One reference shows Daniel A. Hanson to be buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Cisco, Eastland County, Texas. I feel this is in error.)

There is" "Albert A. Hanson, born 24 feb 1898, 25 Feb 1966, buried at Rising Star Cemetery, Eastland County, Texas." Could this be a son of Daniel A. Hanson?
