"Helen B. Elms White, 79, of Batesville died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999.She was born March 19, 1920 in New Madrid, Missouri, to Paul and Bessie Thorne Elms. She was a 20-year member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include three sons, (Name withheld by request of daughter) White of Southside, (Name withheld by request of daughter) White of Batesville and (Name withheld by request of daughter) White of Locust Grove; a daughter, (Name withheld by request of daughter) English of Rutledge, Ala.; a brother, Elvin Elms of Cooper, Texas; two sisters, Edna Reynolds of Southside and Freda Deason of Oil Trough; eight grandchildren;five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and a sister. The funeral was at 2 this afternoon at the First United Pentecostal Church in Batesville with the Rev. M.D. Parmley officiating. Burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.Pallbearers were Freddie Tankersley, Ricky Platt, Damon Pipkin, Michael White, Joshua White and Kyle White."
