"Silas Dunn was first found in the seceded Cherokee land of Benton Co., Alabama and moved to Comanche County, Texas in 1858 per the deposition of Simeon on his Civil War Pension Application. Silas undoubtedly died between the 1870 and 1880 census and is buried in Comanche County, Texas, but no record has been found. Louisa appears to have died between 1860 and 1870 census.
