"Garret Davis Judy was born 3-17-1839 (one record shows 3-17-1843) near Louisville, Kentucky and moved with his parents to Clay County, Missouri. He died in January 1884 in Eastonville, Albert County, Colorado. Garrett married on 9-5-1860 in Clay County, Missouri to Lucinda Ann Jesse, born in Clay County, Missouri (in the same house as James Lyle Judy was born); Lucinda was born in November 1844 and died in 1914 in Portland, Oregon. The house where she was born was made of walnut logs and years later was weather boarded on the outside in rustic style. This house was still there in 1922. Lucinda's ancestors came from Germany. her father was Wood Fox Jesse and he had 7 sons who weighed over 200 lbs. each. One son James Henry Jesse lived in Kansas City, Missouri."
