William O. Wolcott

William D. Wolcott, son of Hiram anti Mary Wolcott, was born near Scotts Sept. 11, 1850, and departed this life at Climax, Sept. 23, 1931 aged 81 years, 12 days. He was united in marriage to Eunice Kreader Jan. 21st, 1876. She preceded him to the great beyond in 1908. He was a member of the I. O. O F Lodge No. 194, at Vicksburg. He leaves to mourn his loss one sister, Mrs. Samuel Sherman of Fulton; a brother, Hugh Wolcott, of Berrien Springs; a foster daughter, Mrs. Sherman Gutherie, of Fulton, and a host of other relatives and friends. Two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. He was a much-respected citizen, a kind neighbor always ready to lend a helping hand. Funeral services were held at the home of the foster daughter with Rev. Ellsworth, of Athens, officiating. Interment on the family lot in the North Fulton cemetery.
