Elizabeth Guyton

Elizabeth Guyton Parker was the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Whitaker Guyton. She married Isaiah Parker. They had 7 children: Aaron, John, Isaac G., Hannah (wife of General James Smith. She is buried in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas), Rachel (married David Macomson), Joseph and Sarah (married James Childress. They moved to Alabama then to Texas). Transfer (abstract) of land to Betsy's children. Recorded in Union County Deed Book O, page 254: Joseph Guiton Senr of Union District for love and friendship to the children of my daughter Betsey Parker deceased (to wit) John Parker, Rachel Malcomson, Aaron Parker, Hannah Smith, Sarah Parker, Isaac Parker, and Joseph Parker, a tract on the west side of Broad River waters of Abbots [Abington] Creek a little above Isaac Parker's spring, on the wagon Road, 25 acres, 1 June 1818. Joseph Guiton (IC) (LS), Witnesses: Silas Reese Parker, Isaac Guiton. Proved by the oath of Silas R. Parker 1 Aug 1818 before Nicholas Corry. Recorded 3 Aug. 1818 [note from Peggy Dillard] lived in South Carolina 1800 Union District census Union District Writs of Partition vol 12 p. 197 Magazine of Ancestral Research 975.7 B2sc listed in probate for Isaiah Parker I guessed Elizabeth's death date as about 1816 because she was dead before her father's probate of his will recorded 3 Aug 1818 and she was still alive in the 1810 census. I guessed her birth date because she was between 26 & 44 in the 1800 census and she had 5 children under 10 years old in that census and she had children until Sarah Parker Childress was born about 1806 or 1807 [Sarah was 43 in the Rusk, Texas 1850 census].
