GREER, SC - Grace Sudduth Austin, 78, of 55 Old Wagon Road, wife of James W. "Bill", died December 12, 2001, at Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James Wilson and Cora Henson Sudduth. She was a homemaker, a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, a member of the Mount Lebanon Bible Study Group and a member of the Willian Workers Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to her husband are two brothers, Vinson "Bill" Sudduth and James B. "Buck" Sudduth, both of Greer; one sister, Margaret Sudduth Gibson, of Greer; and special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Dupree Lancaster and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ellis and family. Mrs. Austin was predeceased by a son, James Harrison Austin; one sister, Earline Sudduth Phillips; and one brother, J. T. Sudduth. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Smith. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Crawley, Martin Price, Joe Price, Neal Gibson, Dennis Gibson, Billy Phillips, David Vaughan and Elmo Neal. Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, James E. Hunt, Charles Stafford, Judy Bright and Linda Waldrop. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today at Mount Lebanon Baptist Chaurch. The family is at the home. -- The Wood Mortuary.
