Mary Zera Zelea Rhudy

Services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thur. March 30) at Union Baptist for Mrs. Zera Rhudy Owens, who died early Wednesday morning in the Methodist Hospital at Memphis following surgery last week. She had been ill for thwe past several weeks. The Rev. Lawrence Simmons of Hamilton, Ala.,will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Rupert Towry Ware, pastor. Burial will be in Boone's Chapel Cemetery with Barry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Owens, wife of Charlie L. Owens, had lived most of her life in Chickasaw County. She was 54 and was a Baptist.
She leaves her husband , three sons, H. D. Owens, James Harold Owens, Charlers Edward Owens of Tupelo, two daughters, Mrs. RIchard Bryant, Miss Peggy Dean Owens of Okolona and West Point her father, James H. Rhudy of Nettleton;two brothers, Clifton Rhudy, Carles Rhudy of Nettleton; five sisters, Mrs. Essie Deaton of VanVleet, Mrs. Laura McCaskill of Plantersville, Mrs. Ethel Edwards, Mrs. Vera McCormick and Mrs. Jimmy Edwards, all of Nettleton, nine grandchildren.
