Funeral services for Foster Mathews Sr., 80, of 419 34th Ave., who died Tuesday at Druid City Hospital, were to be at 2 p.m. today at Liberty Baptist Church near Duncanville. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ora T. Mathews, Tuscaloosa; a son, Foster Mathews Jr., Birmingham; a grandson, Foster David Mathews III, Birmingham; a brother, Festus N. Mathews; Tuscaloosa; three sisters, Mrs. Kate M. Hutchinds, Mrs. Adell M. Dowdy and Mrs. Oala Bell, all of Tuscaloosa; and other relatives.
Pallbearers were to be Al Dowdy, Josh Bell, John W. Foster, Johnny Wyatt, Billy Richey, and Dan Stewart III.
