Robert Stanley McKellep was born to Robert Charles and Mabel Claire (Pike) McKellep on January 2, 1920 in Stowe Prairie Township, Todd County, MN.
On March 15, 1941 Stan married Ruth P. Zosel in Brainerd. Stan served in the United States Army from January 17, 1945 until his honorable discharge January 9, 1946. He lived his entire life in the Wadena community and will be remembered as a self-employed retail grocer. He was active in his church along with being a member of the Gideons, VFW, and American Legion. Stan was interested in baseball, liked to journal everyday events, and socialize with his family and friends. He loved meals with his family and in later years he found enjoyment in cooking and collecting recipes.
With loved ones at his side, Stan passed away on January 10, 2012 at the age of 92, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
