1834 Telitha sold land to a John Gibby after the death of her husband, Frederick Jackson.

10 Dec 1833 Telitha Jackson purchased some items from the estate sale of her brother-in-law Frederick Jackson, husband of her sister Mary Greer. Telitha also was married to Frederick Jackson. As his widow she received one-third of the net profit from the estate sale: $88.60, the other two-thirds ($177.21) being distributed equally between the 16 children: $11.07 each.
1835 Telitha requests Z. Hooker to take guardianship of the children: "July 23rd 1835"

In a court record, dated 23 February 1835, “Application was made by Mrs. Talitha Jackson requesting that W.Z. Hooker should be appointed guardian for her two minor children under the age of fourteen years William and John A. Jackson, and also a request by Nathaniel Jackson Ralph Jackson & Amy Jackson minors over the age of fourteen that he W. Hooker should be appointed their guardian W. Hooker also appearing and offering to accept the appointment It was accordingly so ordered upon his entering into bond and security for his faithful performance. I.I. Pratt, ordy.�?/font
