NORTHPORT Jacqueline K. Brown, age 65, of Northport, died Friday morning, April 9, 2010, at home following a lenghty illness. Services will be11:am Monday, April 12, 2010, at Five Points Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Jar and the Rev. Billy Gray offiiciating. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery in Coker Alabama with Sunset Funeral Home A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. The family will ecieve friends Monday from 9:00 am to 11:00 AM at the church.Jacqueline Kirkland (Brown), #37 Biscayne Hills Northport Alabama 35476.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Carlton Kirkland and Lessie Mae Collins of Bossier City Louisana.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Leon Brown of Northport, Alabama; two sons Roy C. Brown of Coker Alabama and Darrell Brown (Kim) of Northport, Alabama; thre sisters, Glenda Kirkland of Haughton La., Cheri Revers (Craig) Roseville Michigan; and Penelope White (Francis) of Bossier City La; five grandchildren, Blake Brown, Cajun Brown.Maggi Brown, Casey Taylor andLeigha Byrom and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends..
Active in Five Points Baptist Church since 1974, Mrs. Brown served in many capacities, including the choir, Sunday School and mission organizations. She worked in personnel and management at B.F. Goodrch fr 30 years, having retired this year. She is (Nana) to all her grandchldren, Loved by all and spent many hours watching them participate in there many activities
Pallbearers will be Earl Mitchell, Ronnie Lett, Stanley Thorton, George Taylor, Scott Ryan, Paul Wilson and Mark Skelton
