Jessie Pearl Smith, 80, of White Deer, TX, died Friday, September 25th in Pampa, TX. Jessie was born July 21, 1935, in Snyder, TX, to Herbert and Lela Gordon Smith.
She received her Teaching Degree from Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, NM. She taught in Eunice, NM Junior High and went to summer school and received her Bachelors Degree. She later returned to Portales to teach P.E., girls basketball and was cheerleader sponsor for 16 years.
After retiring, she devoted her life to taking care of her mother, who had Alzheimers, for 20 years. She also worked for C.J. Pharmacy for 7 years. She loved to travel.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
No service is scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger, TX.
