Ruth Evelyn Kuykendall Simmons, 66, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo. Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Sammy Simmons, her parents, Amelia and Theron Kuykendall, and a brother, William Kuykendall.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation is today, June 13, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons: Woody Simmons (Pat) of West Point; Jeffery Simmons (Catherine), of Bryant, Ark.; daughter, Rhonda (Bradley) Simmons, of Starkville; five sisters: Helen McKee of Pheba; Mary Hart Holmes (Johnnie), of Long Beach, MS; Barbara Ann Fondren (Roy), of Ackerman; Mildred Jackson (Jerry),of Cumberland, MS; Ginny Fletcher, of Biloxi; six grandchildren: Will Owings; Amber Burns; Austin Burns; Ryan Simmons; Sarah Kate Simmons; Alyssa Burns.

Pallbearers will be Carl Middleton, Will Owings, David Jackson, Wade Miles, Danny Jackson, Paul Caskey, Curtis Simmons and Brent Miles.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ed Miller and Dr. John Cox.
Memorials may be sent to Palestine Cemetery Fund, c/o Jim Murray, 18515 Highway 46, Pheba, Miss., 39755.
