The following information has been furnished by Joe H. Williams for his great, great grandfather John Troublefield Howard. He can be reached by Email at: mtrmthxx@gmail.com
In looking at your entry for my GGGrandfather, John Troublefield Howard, I note you show his wife as Rebecca Jane Moses. You are absolutely correct. However, she was his SECOND wife.
His first wife was Rebecca Snider, whom he married on November 23, 1839, by whom he had nine children. My GGrandfather, Benjamin was of the first family. He had six children by second wife Rebecca Jane Moses.
The two families have plots near each other in the Shelbyville cemetery, and most of the first family didn't know we were related to the second family, buried just a few yards away!
