Monday, April 23, 2018, Jewell Pauline "Pauli" Hays (Gourley) 92, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
Born on December 12, 1925 in Mobeeti, Texas, she was the daughter of John and Mattie Eubanks.
Pauli is predeceased by son, Bill Gourley; Eubanks siblings Joe, John, Farris, Lloyd, Cecil, Ann Wester, and Opal Hughes.
She is survived by son, Bob Gourley; sisters Dotti Edilson, Millie Bonca (Myron); brother Walt; and many family members.
Pauli was married to Bill Gourley Senior for 25 yrs. They had two sons, Billy and Bobby.
Pauli moved to Tucson in 1962 with Ralph Hays, former husband of 30 years.
She was a former owner of Ralph Hays Roofing and Cliff Valley Golf Course, now Quail Canyon Golf course.
She enjoyed golfing, but her best talent was interior designing for herself and family. Two of her homes were featured in the Tucson newspaper.
She extended Southern hospitality to all who came in her presence.
Pauli, our mom, aunt, grandmother and sister will be dearly missed. We have lost the biggest heart of our family. There was never a more beautiful, loving or gracious soul in this world.
