Wayne County Outlook
24 Jul 1924
On July 1, Mr. Andrew Bertram died at the home of his son, Oakley Bertram at Cooper, Wayne County, after an illness of several weeks. He was brought here for burial the following day. He was 73 years old, and a devout Christian, having been a member of Beech Bottom church for several years.
He leaves 4 children, Mrs. Mattie Rogers of this place, Mrs. Shell Gregory of Canada, and Messrs. Oakley and Sterlie Bertram of Cooper.
Uncle Andy was loved by all and his family loses a kind and affectionate father, his church a devoted member and this community one of it's oldest and best citizens, but we realize our loss is his eternal gain.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. Bertram, after which his remains were buried with Masonic honors at the Beech Bottom Cemetery. - Rolan Cor. to Albany New Era.
