Arrived to Nelson in 1842 on ship Thomas Harrison, with wife and family. Farmed at Hope, Richmond for many years, moving to Woolston, Christchurch around 1868 after death of his first wife, Elizabeth Watts.
DEATHS.
COLONIST, VOLUME XXXVIII, ISSUE 8151, 21 JANUARY 1895:
Lines. -January 14, 1895, at his late residence, London street, Woolston (Canterbury), Benjamin Lines, aged 90 years.
Very much esteemed during 53 years in this Colony.
