Buford Clinton Greenhaw II

(15 Jun 1937 - 24 Oct 2011)

Greenhaw, II B. Clinton passed away, true to form, on his own terms with grace, dignity and style on October 24. He was born June 15, 1937 in OKC, OK to B.C. (Boots) and Josephine Whitby Greenhaw. He received his education from preschool thru college in Oklahoma. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Clinton worked in the family grocery, retail business and commercial real estate for many years. His biggest pleasure in life was going to Canada and the Boundary Waters, canoeing, camping out, fishing and sitting around a camp fire with his best friends, Tom and Joi Freeman, where they all enjoyed gazing at the stars, waiting for the Northern Lights and listening to the waves along the shore. Clinton was a true lover of a fine cigar and always loved a quote he had once heard: "Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman- or a bad woman, it depends on how much happiness you can stand". After his retirement, because of his love for cigars, he asked his respected friend, Mark Myers, to open Maker's Cigar & Piano Club in order that lovers of cigars and good music had a place to go for an enjoyable evening. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Gregory Hulsey. He is survived by his wife Sharon; son B.Clinton Greenhaw, III and wife, Diana of Midwest City, OK; step-son Curtis M. Delashaw, OKC, OK; sister Bobbie and husband, Ronald, of Norman, OK; Cleta and husband, Oren Newell, of Wakita, OK; and brother Charles and wife, Carla, of OKC, OK; 4 grandchildren, Kyle and Caylee Greenhaw, Amelia and Claire Delashaw; sister-in-law, Rosemary Fox and husband Blue; and brother-in-law, Raymond Penrod; numerous loved family members and friends and his adored spaniels, Edgar and Cody. The family would like to give many, many thanks to Dr. Mark Lynn and Grace, Crossroads Hospice, particularly Judi Ames and Mary Brown, for their devotion and special care given to Clint during his last days. Finally, special gratitude and love to Carol Ennis for her unrelenting support, love and care to Clint and the entire family during this journey. To honor and respect Clint's wishes, there will be no services, with his ashes to be scattered in the beloved waters of Canada. For those who wish, the family suggests memorials be made in Clint's honor to: Free to Live Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 5884, Edmond, OK 73083-5884
