Ruth E EVENSIZER, age 93, of Portland, Oregon passed away on Monday July 16, 2018. Ruth was born July 6, 1925, to Harry and Hazel Wilson.
Ruth left Nebraska as a child in 1934, relocating to Burns, OR. In 1936 the family moved to Woodland, WA, then moved to Cook, WA in 1938. Ruth settled in Brightwood, OR in 1973, eventually settling in the Portland area in 1996 until her passing.
Ruth attended First Orthodox Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jack Smith. Ruth owned and operated a day care center from 1967 - 1995 when she retired. Ruth enjoyed working in her garden and loving on animals.
Ruth is survived by; son Donald Evensizer; and daughter Terrie Evensizer; brother Donald Wilson.
Ruth was preceded in death by her spouse Charles D. Evensizer.
A committal service for Ruth will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at WIllamette National Cemetery, 11800 Se Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97068.
