Nancy Holloway married Francis Marion Paul on 21 Feb 1861. They had a son, James, on 1 Nov 1861. James died at the age of 9 months on 27 Aug 1862.
Francis enlisted in Co A 4th Iowa Cavalry on 15 Dec 1863. His brother, William R. Paul was also a member of Co A. Francis died in Macon Co, GA of disease in May of 1865. Nancy died at the young age of 25 years, within two years of the death of her husband.
