Ammon Paul Hatch, Jr. December 20, 1932 - May 30, 2013 Chesterfield: Ammon Paul Hatch, Jr., 80, of Chesterfield passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013.
Paul was born on December 20, 1932 the son of Ammon Paul and Phyllis Louise Lee Hatch. He was born and raised in Chesterfield.
He graduated from North Gem High School in Bancroft and then attended BYU for a few years.
He also served in the military for 2 years in Europe.
Paul was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission in the Central States. He also served in a multitude of positions in the church including Young Men's Presidency, several bishoprics, ward clerk, and as a lifelong home teacher.
He married Audrey Marie Holden on November 18, 1960 in the Logan, LDS Temple. She passed away on November 11, 2004.
Paul was also a member of the Idaho Cattle Association and the Chesterfield Land and Livestock. He enjoyed tinkering, fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his kids and grandkids, and traveling.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Kelton and Jenni Hatch of Kimberly, ID, Jayson and Leslie Hatch of Chesterfield, ID, Zonna and Scott Jones of Garland, TX. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one brother and two sisters, Gary and LaRae Hatch, Kareen and Nephi Anderson, LaPreal and Wayne Perkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three children, Karwyn, Vonnie Sue and Rell, and a sister Gaylie Bradley.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 4 at 11:00 am at the Chesterfield LDS Chapel. The family will meet with friends Monday evening from 7-8 pm at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, and also at the church prior to services on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30.
