William J. Jamison

(6 Jul 1810 - 7 Dec 1877)

William moved from Northern Ireland to Texas in the mid-1840s when his brother James sent for him. William had a grist mill located on what is now the Murray Ranch (north of Hwy 35 and east of Hwy 288). In 1850 he was living in the household with his brothers James and Thomas, and sister Sarah. On 27 Jul 1858 he took the oath and received citizenship in the USA.
