The funeral service for Jeanne will be Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Roger Higbea officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Homer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Jeanne was born February 13, 1928 in Homer, MI to Louis & Bess (Beyers) Folk. She graduated from Homer High School in 1946 and married Harry Cutcher on March 9, 1947 in Marshall.
Mrs. Cutcher was first employed as a key punch operator at Federal Mogul and A & P Grocery in Albion. After she married, she dedicated her time to raising her five children. In the 1970’s, Jeanne and Harry owned and operated a ladies sportswear store and then later an RV park which they operated for several years, both located in Ft. Myers Beach, FL.
Jeanne had a talent for interior decorating and had remodeled and redecorated many homes in her life. One of her favorite pastimes was bargain shopping and often joked that one of the first words she taught her daughters was S-A- L- E. Jeanne was active in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Coldwater for many years and also an active parent volunteer at St. Charles School, where her children attended. She enjoyed golfing and was proud to have achieved two hole-in-one games. Jeanne and Harry together chaired the American Cancer Society in Branch Co. in 1973 and she also volunteered for the Ft. Myers Regional Health Center for many years.
Jeanne is survived by her husband Harry, her children Cindy (Roger) Higbea of Ft. Mill, S. Carolina, Ronda Johnson of Ft. Myers, FL, Sherry (Jesse) Robbins of Johnson City, TN, Michele (Johnny Scott) Cutcher of Holt, Craig Cutcher of Coldwater, her sisters Charlene (Don) Streets of Coldwater, Glenna (Vernon) Fast, Elizabeth Neufer all of Marshall, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
