Joanna Collins

Joanna Collins married Michael Newhall on July 11, 1765 in Lynn, Essex Co., Mass. and had six children, Jedidiah Newhall, Susanna Newhall, Hannah Newhall, Daniel Newhall, Amos Newhall, and Joanna Newhall.
After her husband, Michael Newhall, passed on in 1812 Joanna was committed to an insane asylum by her son, Daniel Newhall. A Petition for guardianship for insane was granted by the "Overseers of the Poor in Leominster" and David Wilder was appointed guardian, Feb. 6, 1816 and a Bond of $10,000 was given by sureties --?-- Nichols & David Wilder. Vol.194 pg. 100.

Burial
I have assumed that she is buried in the family plot with her husband Michael Newhall, in the Pine Grove Cemetery, with out a headstone. The plot layout clearly shows 5 plots with only 4 headstones.Note: She may have been buried at the asylum, but for now, I will leave her with her family till I find out otherwise.
