Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 23 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown for Martha Ellen Fausett King of Marble Falls. Mrs. King died Thursday, Aug. 21.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Raymond King.
Mrs. King was a native of Alabama. Her parents were Samuel and Josephine Fausett of Roanoke, Ala. After graduating high school and business college, she worked as a secretary on the army base in Tucson, Ariz., where she met and married her husband.
The Kings moved to Houston after World War II and lived there until they moved to Round Rock in 1990. Mrs. King was the business manager for the Cassabaum YMCA for more than 20 years, and worked untiringly for the sponsorship programs for children. Her love of children, dogs, and the YMCA was the highlight of her life.
Mrs. King is survived by her son, Bill and wife Connie; daughter, Cheryl and husband Don; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
