Annie Sam Fausett Higgins
(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Annie Sam Fausett Higgins, 86, of Roanoke were Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Floyd Carmack officiating. Burial was at Antioch Congregational Christian Church Cemetery in Chambers County.
Mrs. Higgins died Sunday, Nov. 28, at Fairburn Health Care Center in Fairburn, Ga.
A lifelong resident of this area, Mrs. Higgins was born Dec. 13, 1912, daughter of Samuel Casper and Josephine Pace Carlisle Fausett. She was a homemaker and a member
of First Baptist Church, Roanoke, the Antioch Congregational Christian Church Missionary Society and the Mt. Olive Community Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lloyd Higgins Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Charlotte Booth of Fayetteville, Ga., Martha H. Byrd of Smyrna, Ga., and Katherine H. Smith of Roanoke; three sons, Joe Sam Lee of
Fairburn, John L. Higgins Jr. of Roanoke and Thomas J. Higgins of Anniston; one sister, Martha F. King of Round Rock, Texas; one brother, Robert L. Fausett of Pelham; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
