Panagiotis Georgios Aridas
(1888 - 25 Oct 1959)
Best man at the wedding of Andrew & Catherine Kostakos.
In the School Archive records sent to me by Michalis Sovolos, this is the only Mihalakakos family in Agios Ioannis in the late 1800's. The Mihalakakos - Aridas family is the same, and the name was used interchangeably as various records including the school records showing Mihalakakos for Panagiotis, Aristedes and Michail.
Carol's trip to Brooklyn, October 7, 1988 to visit Alice Aridas Costas and her sister, Frieda Aridas Minakakis: When Pete Aridas would go to Agios Ioannis - St. Johns to visit family, he stayed in the house of Aristedes Arides. He spent $5,000 for improvements in that house. He died in church in Agios Ioannis on October 26, St. Dimitrios nameday. No year was given. Peter used to take Alice and Frieda out on Monday nights.
