Individual Details
Petros Georgios Aridas
(1898 - )
It is possible, but not likely, that Petros and Panagiotis are the same person.
Possible, because no one in the family ever mentioned a Petros (not even George Aridas in Agios Ioannis)
Not likely because: they are 2 separate names, and the birth years are 10 years apart.

April 2020: Petros and Panagiotis are two distinctly different names. I did find an 1888 Male Register for Panos Georgios Aridas of Alaimbey. Thus, I am going to assume that Panos/Panagiotis and Petros ARE two separate people. It is possible that Petros died as a child or before reaching adulthood, and no one alive today knew of him. This assumption will pre-empt the information below from Aris Poulimenakos.
Aris Poulimenakos Research, 2013:
Aris Poulimenakos research letter dated October 29, 2013 to Carol Petranek:
Aris sent me the following: Aridas, Petros, born 1898 in Alaimbei,, Lakonia, Greece; father: Georgios; death recorded in 1935.
Information from Mitroon Arrenon; received from General Archives of Greece, Dimos Lakonia, Office in Sparta - May 2009.
My question to Aris - Alaimbey/Alaimpei:
It is possible, but not likely, that the Mitroon Arrenon for Petros Aridas, born 1898 in Alaimbey (father: Georgios), could be the same person as the Petros born 1884 – however, the dates are 14 years apart and the birthplace is not Agios Ioannis. For this reason, I believe they are two separate people unless we can find documentation to prove they are the same.
His response, sent October 29, 2013:
Petros is the two cases are most likely the same person. The real YOB (year of birth) and the time of enrollment into the Mitroa unfortunately had such big differences sometimes. The place of birth mentioned in the Mitroo (Alaimpei) is a location of Agios Ioannis (not of the Municpality of Krokees; that one is another location sounding almost the same).”

Death
Male Register has a death notation, but not a year. I am assuming that Petros died young, before becoming an adult, as no one in the family (including George Aridas in Agios Ioannis) ever mentioned him.Research Questions
