"We sent our Christmas cards a bit late this year because we recently lost a brother of my grandmother, Panorea, and we aren't exactly in a Christmas mood. He was 80 hears old and had some problems with his health but still, it was sudden. His name was Dimos, Jim, and he lived in Cheramio. My grandmother is 84 years old. She is 4-1/2 years in a wheelchair but she isn't giving up! My father is now retired from his job and doesn't know wht to do with himself. Luckily, there is the restaurant. We hope that we will see you again soon. Have a wonderful New Year! Panorea"

Alt name

Papadakos was the “paratsoukli” or nickname of the family but they used both names equally (Xanthakos and Papadakos). I remember when their brother Vasilios died his family wrote on the announcement of his death “Vasilios Xanthakos” and they had a lot of complaints from his friends because they hadn’t recognize the name and as a result they missed his funeral!
