Papadakos was the “paratsoukli” or nickname of the family but they used both names equally (Xanthakos and Papadakos). I remember when their brother Vasilios died his family wrote on the announcement of his death “Vasilios Xanthakos” and they had a lot of complaints from his friends because they hadn’t recognize the name and as a result they missed his funeral!
