Occupation

Facebook post, May 15, 2018: Van Christakos:  I knew John Larikos from Tappen's Restaurant in Sheepshead Bay. Worked as a busboy, eventually becoming a waiter in the 60's. Mr. John was the cashier. he sat at his station adding up everyone's checks by hand, all the while smoking a cigar and drinking a Heineken.

 my maternal grandfather, Ioannis Lerikos (circa 1880), son of Eleni and Panagiotis Lerikos and brother of Afroditi Lerikos Aridas, left Brooklyn and his family around 1928, never to be heard from again. I assume he returned to Agios Ioannis. The reason I bring it up again is that I noticed in HHG that 2 other Lerikos's showed up. Do you know how we're tied together? Did Afroditi and Ioannis have a brother, who passed the Lerikos name down, or did they have a male uncle who did the same? My reason for sending this to you via your e-mail is in case this brings up (or not) any sensitive issues.
