Can't be 100% sure that the Kansas census are for the right Lydia, but with the following, it seems likely.
There is a Lydia A Templeton, widow, with nephew John Templeton in Fulton Co., Ohio, born May 1834, but that one says mother of 4, 3 living. Not likely that the one in Kansas had 4 children between 1850 and 1870 but none living with her in any census.
Found Findagrave for the one in Fulton. It says her maiden name was Fessler and her husband was John.
In the files in Miami County, it references Lewis Genealogical & Biog Record, - 675 under Fulker; Beers History Miami County, 532 and Brien: Miami Valley Ohio, Pioneers: (1970) pg. 110. Says, among other, that Lydia died in Kansas, but has no further information on her.

Templeton Lydia 1829 1918
The question is - is this the right woman. The Lydia in the 1900 and 1910 census who was listing state of birth for her and parents other than Pennsylvania was in Kansas.
NO, it is not the same woman. Findagrave has Lydia Ball Templeton, 1832 - 1916.
